Lake Drive Reconstruction - April 2026

Vantage Data Center will be repairing Lake Drive beginning April 6, 2026, due to damage from heavy construction traffic associated with the data center project.

Project Timeline

• Start Date: April 6, 2026

• Estimated Completion: April 20, 2026

Construction Overview
The project will be completed in four moving sections, starting at CTH LL and progressing west toward CTH KW. Each section will be fully closed for approximately 2–3 days while crews remove the existing roadway, stabilize the base, and install new aggregate.

Once work in a section is completed, that portion of the road will reopen to traffic on a gravel surface until final paving occurs. By approximately April 17, the entire roadway is expected to be reopened (gravel surface).

Paving Schedule

• April 16–17: Base asphalt layer

• April 18–19: Final asphalt surface

• April 20: Road striping

During paving operations, traffic will be controlled with flaggers.

Traffic Impacts

• Lake Drive will be closed to general public traffic in active work zones

• Access restrictions will shift as construction progresses west

• The roadway will be open on a gravel surface for approximately one week prior to final paving

• Detour routes will be posted

What to Expect
Residents should anticipate temporary access limitations depending on their location along Lake Drive, as well as changing closure points as construction progresses. While short-term inconvenience is expected, the project will result in a fully reconstructed roadway.
